We’re proud to be launching JustStaySafer, a new initiative from Ignite Your Power CIC created to support women and girls with practical, realistic personal safety education.
There is a lot of safety advice out there for women, but much of it can feel generic, unrealistic, or disconnected from real life. Too often, women are either told to avoid situations altogether or given self-defence advice that relies on strength, aggression, or techniques that are difficult to remember and use under pressure.
JustStaySafer is different.
Created for women, by women, this initiative is built around the realities women and girls actually face. Our approach is not about encouraging fear, blame, or unrealistic expectations. It is about helping women feel more informed, more prepared, and more confident through education that is practical, accessible, and relevant to everyday life.
At Ignite Your Power CIC, our work has always been rooted in empowerment. We understand that personal safety is not just about physical techniques. It is also about awareness, confidence, decision-making, and having access to support that feels approachable and inclusive.
JustStaySafer brings that together in a way that reflects who we are: female-led, community-focused, and committed to breaking down barriers so more women and girls can access the knowledge and support they deserve.
This is about creating a safer, stronger future for women and girls through honest conversations, practical tools, and a supportive community.
